Again with "mountain toppling" punches? 😬

The effects at least were being felt pretty far and wide.

I don't know what's more amusing, the fact that a Thor fan shrugs at mountain toppling punches [😂] or that he picks the least impressive part of the whole feat that doesn't demean it in the least.

I guess it's the Thor fan part.

OK, BACK TO TOPIC 😛

When he's working alone, Cap stomps the U-Foes with ease... but with Thor in the group he gets owned.

=> Thor's power level is negative?

And yet Agent Venom managed to beat the U-Foes.

U-Foes aren't what they use to be unfortunately. Few classic villains are.

Thor beat up the U-Foes in that issue:

Selective scans at work. Thank ODG for scans.

Anyways, I love Loki:

I miss Gillen's JIM 🙁. Don't even read the Sif book now.

Um, that punch that knocked supes away. Was hel just that fast that it looked like a phantom punched him or is this one of hel's powers?

Most likely speed Supergirl has mentioned before that H'el can move so fast that she cant keep up with his movement....

Purple pants FINALLY destroyed

Umm....ok. 😐

I've shrugged at Thor's mountain topplers ever since I've read about them.

It didn't seem overly impressive to me when Thor's been doing "mountain toppling " punches since back in the day, and has never even come close to the absurd strength feat Kal performed. Even if strength =/= punching power...

Yeah...It wasn't an attempt to demean the feat, it was me expressing that the text wasn't that special. Heaven forbid I feel anything other than awe or amazement right though? Good to know we have superman fans like you to enforce proper feelings. Sheesh.

a). Toppling mountains is a high feat for Thor, in terms of somewhat quantifiable strength showings. Not high-end, but high. The fact you treat it as "eh" for Superman indicates that either you're finally accepting that Superman is on another strength level entirely when compared to Thor, or that you're under the impression that 'toppling mountains' is 'meh' for top tiers. It's not.

This can be seen, just by looking at Thor's respect thread and his strength feats. Very few ar at or above that level.

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f98/t522796.html

And that's a respect thread. Taking every Thor comic ever into account, moving mountains very is up there.

b). What you did was paint a 'meh' picture for the feat, by chopping the most unimpressive part of the entire scene. "toppling mountains....punching so hard the effect is felt in the Earth's core and the Justice League satellite that is floating in Earth's upper atmosphere, also displaying powerlevels above his casual Earth pushing levels for 5 days without sun.."

And you're like:
"toppling mountains? meh"

facepalm

That's a very disingenuous way to take a scene.

Nice Feat for Superman. Wish they would have at least said moon shattering instead of toppling mountains.

Toppling mountain(s), not if he was merely directly punching them though, indirectly. And it was felt all the way into space/outer atmosphere, and through the center of the Earth.

Considering Dr. Veritas tells us right there that the power level he's showing surpasses what she was measuring from him before (5 days Earth bench pressing), all we can take to mean is that Earth is just that damn durable.

Eh, what was actually shown [i.e. his blows being felt fron the center of the Earth and Watchtower] is far above mountain toppling, so that statement is a bit redundant.

Show not tell and all that.

Or 'comics physics' and most of that >>>planet moving strength was directed at H'el's face.

11 on the amplifier is not enough, you need the dial that goes to "incalculable".
