Batman is 'Batgod' because he has to be on the Justice League, where he is alongside Gods. That doesn't mean that he makes the others look bad - the guy who practically made Batgod a mainstay - Grant Morrison, didn't write Batman above the others.
Take the Hyperclan saga [the arc that arguably had the most awesome 'batgod' moment in history, and was the most memorable one]:
Yes, Batman discovered their weakness. The thing is:
Superman did too. On his own. He broke free of the kryptonite illusion. On his own. He was the one who talked with the people of Earth to repel the martians.
Flash beat Zum. On his own.
Wonder Woman took it to Primaid on her own.
J'onn infiltrated the Hyperclan on his own.
Aquaman, of all people, got an awesome moment of his own, where he gave seizures to the martian.
They're all formidable. They're all 'gods' on their own. Batman has to go there with his intelligence, most of all.
'Batgod is bad' represents a concept from clueless 'fans' who never actually read/understand the comics, and the necessity of Batman being that formidable.

Struck a nerve or you just being pissy again?
Who said anything about Grant Morrison? facepalm
I'm referring to the times and instances where blatant PIS comes into play purely to put over Batman or other characters are specifically written down just so Batman looks great. Has nothing to do with his intelligence at all in said instances. Unless of course you don't think those moments exist in which case there's not even any point of discussing the matter.
I've read plenty of Batman stories and arcs since the late 80s, so yes, I understand and comprehend the character plenty, thanks.

Originally posted by JakeTheBankWe were talking of 'Batgod' within the Justice League comic, which is something that has been consistently been shown as not shitting on the other members, far more often than you can argue that it has. The worst this has happened is in Tower of Babel, and even that was somebody else using his plans, and taking the Justice League by surprise [which, ultimately, still makes Batman look bad]. Really, somebody like J'onn has had it worst, where there was an entire arc [Fernus] where his being awesome on the rest of Justice League's expense was pushed much harder.

You said you hate Batgod - which is something that Morrison first pushed, harder than any other, wrote the greatest moments feauturing him, and also wrote what is widely considered the best JLA run in history - so you can be damn sure you're talking about Morrison, too, when you say you hate that part of the character.
If you had said this part from the start:

Originally posted by JakeTheBankAnd that's simply innaccurate - Batman was relevant in Justice League without making the other look useless.
