Aquaman being a completely useless piece of shit in the minds of the average person is never going to die out.

If/when the Justice League movie happens and Aquaman does something incredibly badass and epic, the trope is probably going to die outright.

Zack Snyder can change that with a Justice League movie.

I don't mind Aquaman, but Namor IS cooler.

Namor has better chances at the box office than Aquaman.its kind of sad.

I guess, but truth be told Namor looks even worse design wise than typical Super Friends Aquaman.

I'm talking about his portrayal as a character. And his looks.

They're making an Aquaman solo movie, supposedly. If it is awesome and that is a big IF, then Aquaman will get his respect. They could easily do a bad ass movie, if they wanted to.

Or they could have him sing "under the sea" from The little mermaid and ruin the character completely...

On the flip side, somewhere there are scans of Spiderman beating Wolverine in like 4 panels.
