Marvel owned the 60's. Between1961 and 1970 they debuted 1 sometimes 2 new and classic characters each month consistantly

he really didnt create the fourth world god concept. he appropriated the concept from the Mesheeka mythology and used their color and design patterns to make his comic gods.

if you study art you would see a strong resemblance and mixture of meso american mythology and characters like Galactus and the new gods.

So Orion actually existed? 😐

👆

As did Galactus, it would seem.

Galactus appears to be based on the cosmic giant in Mesheeka mythology who ate the sun/stars each night and was a personification of death and a blackhole as the Mesheeka ppl understood it as.

believe me, Jack Kirby stole a lot of ideas from the Mesheeka ppl/mythology.
including the head dresses/helmets that characters like Galactus wear.

Clearly this "Moeesha" tribe stole their religion from Kirby's work. 👇

clearly Jack Kirby appropriated the clothing the armor, the color pattern and geometric shapes/design.

this isnt even remotely arguable.

Jack Kirby was heavily influenced by the Mesheeka mythology. if you take into account of cultural context of the time of Jack Kirby you would know it was during the time that Erich von Daniken was running around talking about space gods and focusing on the Meso American mythology.

The Moeesha were obviously influenced by Kirby.

/discussion.

Everything is influenced by something before it, welcome to comics

I dont think he is a hack. I just think its a shame that credit is never given it would make a difference to a lot of ppl.

did you know the word bubble in comics also came from early meso american art drawn by the nahuatl people?

before then white european people used banners and slogans in wood itching and artwork instead.
