I agree with Carvster..Peter needs a new look. It doesn't have to deviate too far from the classic look, but he does need a refresh...
😄
It's ok to be wrong. Happens to the best of us.
But here's why: One, Pete has had dozens of costumes throughout the years. I'd struggle to come up with another mainstream character that has gone through so many costume iterations, including iconic ones like Iron Spider and the symbiote black outfit. To complain that the "classic" look is too tired is ridiculous in this sense, because he's willing to reinvent himself more than nearly any other character.
Second, the classic costume is better than 98% of costumes in comics. Why mess with greatness?
Lastly, and most importantly, his body has literally been controlled by someone else for months. And now he comes back to claim his status as Marvel's premiere hero...and you want something other than his classic look?! Sure, let's metaphorically shrug off the most intimate of personal violations in a hero-defining moment. But **** it, his threads look kinda tight, I think I'll rock the same look that the imposter has been repping for a year now. The flaw in narrative logic in your suggestion is beyond description.

Good points. Well, maybe a yr from now he can do a change. His other costumes didn't stick with him though; it was a short lived deal. No one is saying do a complete change to his attire, but at least spice up his classic look...it's too old school to me.
The suit Spock wore right when he became superior has some really cool elements that peter could integrate into a new suit. Like the stylized eye lenses, the more sturdy looking material as opposed to fabric.. But I gotta agree with digi, for the moment of the return, there was no other suit fitting but the classic.
Do we all forget the anti-Sinister-6 mech suit Pete rocked shortly before the Spock nonsense? It's not like he hasn't changed it up recently.

Ha, ok, fair enough.

They have removed the armpit webbing, only slight changes like that are possible in comics 😛
Iirc, the armpit webbing was the actual "classic" suit that he first wore in the comics. I don't miss it, tbh.
