Lol, that was even more one-sided then some predicted.So....where do we rank Gorr now? He'd probably stomp Galactus in this book.
Thor's fight against him in the first arc is even more impressive now imo.
take from that what you will.

I like Aaron. He once again made Thor look good without shitting on the villains. Superman and Hulk writers could learn a thing or two.
I hope he uses Ulik more. Maybe have him fight the Avengers to re-establish his rep. He's a Kirby/Lee fan so he'll treat him with respect.
I like how Thor went from being beat up and punch drunk to owning shit. Dynamic strength ftw.

Barely? Before the final scene it was dead even but cool. 👆
We also had some more hints at it's origins. Galactus recognized the weapon as the one that carved the first dawn or whatever.

Still, this fight made the first arc that much more impressive.

But wouldn't King Thor's own skyfather level power be stacked with necrosword? It was very impressive how KT beat an alternate Galactus but I'd call BS transferring this level of power to Gorr.
the blade amped him. and significantly so.
Also, King Thor didn't even merge with the blade like Gorr did from my understanding.
And previous information suggests the God kill meter resets with each user BUT after how Galactic was stomped, I don't know if that's the intent anymore.
I mean I'd love for that to be true but I don't want to jump to conclusions. The implication for Gorr and his weapon though....

The implications means that Thor during that run was operating in the trans tier. The blade amped Thor to the point that Galactus wasn't even a challenge... a fed Galactus and Thor was giving someone with the blade fits. Yeah, this sheds a lot of light on Thor.
