Even if he went into the fight against her fresh, I think that she would have still done well against him. It should be evident to anyone that she is a top tier considering how well she did against the GOTG.
if angela fought a 'fresh' thor, he'd be quite a bit stronger than her(though she'd still be strong enough to contend with/injure him), and she'd still be faster. so yeah, it would logically be a close fight regardless.

This showing was impressive since the Annihilators were all treated with precision and relative ease. Thanos also used tactics to show he doesn't just throw punches and use energy blasts. Thanos is quite the tactician.
