Hm, I don't think this was ever posted here...In a universe where the most pressing issue beforehand was someone spilling a milkshake on their pants, the death of the company's namesake character(via a GSW to the abdomen) was a HUGE deal.
And I couldn't believe they made ARCHIE MEETS THE PUNISHER.
All of the recent "fights" Thor has been in are making me sick. It's ridiculous how disrespectful Marvel writers treat the characters.
At this point I wish that every time Thor sees a fight, hurls Mjolnir into the opposite direction and flies away. Just kidding, now he can't even lift it off the ground anymore.

Because Nick Fury snr made him unworthy.
Yes, with a whisper, which is absolutely retarded. Knowing Marvel whatever Fury whispered, will be something completely lazy and stupid.
I was actually really hoping that with the new Axis event and the change of morals of the characters, where the good ones, become bad ones... Thor would lose his worthiness of Mjolnir with him becoming bad and an evil woman from Thor's past would become good and somehow also worthy of wielding Mjolnir.
That alone would have opened so much space for interesting interaction between the two characters and might have had an impact on the mysterious woman after she loses Thor's powers.

Thanks for posting, Galan. I read tons of Archie comics back in the day, so seeing this was pretty brutal. 👆They're not ending the franchise though iirc- this was the end to some alternate-universe spin-off or something I think.
unless something has recently changed, i *think* it was intended to be *the* archie who died. here are the pre and post-story pages(directly from the publishers) taken from the issue following archie's death--which was a "one year later" issue:

👆Yeah it's a great read, and the last issue will make Lovecraft fans interested
and the last issue: i can ALWAYS appreciate a shout-out to lovecraftian lore. awesomeness. 👆

David doesn't always beat Goliath ...
Biblical David had the wisdom to keep his distance from Goliath.
Poor "Nature" David here, though ...
Some extraordinary motion capture photography in this scene, I must say.
If I could but convince myself that little guy made it through this ordeal alive, I'd send this memo to my friends.
