Don't think he will crush him either but Starlin did say Thanos is going to be weary of Hulks infinite rage.

Oh sure apologies for my misunderstanding.

I reckon given that you can't have Thanos one shot Hulk what will happen is there is a long drawn out battle when Thanos eventually ends Hulk (not kills) by knocking him out or just removing his mind control.

Like Estacado said, I don't believe Starlin would let Thanos get beaten to a pulp.

Thanos isn't going to lose during this series regardless. Don't think either Thanos or Hulk will come out the Victor but Starlin did choose Hulk for a reason, especially with him starring in more than one comic with Thanos during this run.

Oh sure it will definitely be entertaining. I have been longing for a proper fight with Thanos and Hulk. Regardless of the outcome I will be happy that a comic featuring the 2 squaring up has actually been written.

Thanos tries to reason with Hulk:

"Goliath, hear me out..."

Hulk punches him straight in the chest. Thanos thinks "Ribs, broken, this stupid Hulk, I should kill him".

Then Thanos schools Hulk "outsmarting" him -read, making him act really stupid-.

Or something to that effect.

This is my thinking as well. Thanos vs Hulk will show them as near physical equals, probably have Thanos note the "brute" may be capable of winning, eventually. But rather than let it go that far, he'll get some equipment/device to win. Much like the fight with WM Thor.

This is not a thread for discussions biatches!

😄

Can see that happening. Thanos doesn't look to happy with Pip here for bringing Hulk into the mix as a body guard.

He then brings Banner and Hulk up on the screen...Looking at the Hulk.

I wonder what Thanos is thinking or saying.

Per this interview, we might not get the fight we've been craving and it appears Hulk is mind controlled. Pip is using him as a weapon.

I've tried to enjoy Starlin's take on Thanos but I can't help but think his latest stories are a bit retro. This might be blasphemous to some, but I think Keith Giffen did more to push that character forward than anyone else has in the last 20 years.

Think Hickman wrote a good Thanos as well.

Agreed, though its a classic villain-mode Thanos which some dont like.

I think Hickman writes a significantly more powerful Thanos than Starlin though - one who relies more on brute force rather than his wits in order to defeat powerful opponents.

something tells me that hulk would get an OP feat, but will ultimately lose to thanos, 😂

👆

It was fun seeing him stomp heralds like he did under Hickman's pen but I do prefer the more methodical Thanos who relies on his intellect/cunning more so than his physicality. It was kind of ironic though that he readily fought everyone but chose to sidestep the Hulk fight, the one being on Earth who could possibly overpower Thanos.

Hopefully they do actually have a fight in this mini rather than it just be a battle of wills or intelligence. I don't see Thanos straight up losing but probably acknowledging Hulks massive potential, and giving him respect before somehow taking him down. That would be a win for both imo.

I agree. This is most def going to be a major brawl between the two. This isn't a one comic fight, this duel will be going on in multiples of comics. Don't think either of them are going to lose. Something is going to happen where Hulk is sent back home.

Yeah I'm hardly known as being a big Thanos fan as many here will tell you but that was a pretty scary depiction. I do think Hickman also takes the "strongest one there is" thing fairly seriously though OTOH (Sun God notwithstanding perhaps) so that probably seemed like a good way to leave well enough alone.

I was doubtful there would be anything more than a scuffle before but now that its a 4 issue mini titled "HULK VS THANOS" I dont see how it can be avoided. I think Thanos will win or at least come out on top but i think Hulk will get respect in terms of raw physical power. We'll see anyway.

They've had so many scuffles over the years and brief encounters with other factors/people involved that it will be interesting to see a reasonably straight up confrontation.

You're all wrong, clearly this is a HulkBot that Thanos fights.

BannerTech FTW.

Either that or Thanos makes Hulk happy and we all lose?

Giffen is the best take on Thanos and seems to be the most powerful.
Starlin is the smartest Thanos and sometimes gets crazy feats. Though he grounds it out.
Hickman's is just straight up a villain, and he seems somewhat dumb.
DnA seems to follow Giffen's but not nearly as character driven.
And for all the hate Thanos Rising gets, JA's Thanos was pretty interesting.

I like Giffen's Thanos more, but Starlin has some great cosmetology to go along with it so it balances out. DnA could have been fun if they had an ongoing or mini. Misadventures with Magus and the like.

But also great vs thread.

Giffen's Thanos is #1

DnA's Thanos is up there too.

Starlin's Thanos monologues way too much.

Hickan's Thanos is badass, reminds me of Jurgen's Thanos. I like when Thanos is a villain.

Aaron's Thanos is creepy and probably mentally insane.

Bendis' Thanos is a retarded weasel. By far the shittiest Thanos.

Bendis should really just not be writing any character not named Daredevil 😆

So it looks like Superman escaped from that black hole in Superman Doomed #2.

Either that or it teleported him somewhere.
