Robin and Batman stole it from him. Also yes the yellow was a defense as in All-Star the Lanterns still have their yellow weakness

Yes, but even in the main universe John Stewart had his ring stolen and his costume didnt fade. Even when Lanterns rings drain of power the costume still remains. I don't know if they explained that.
