I think they wanted to make Namor's death more epic. He got stabbed by that knife, BB screamed in his face, he plummeted into the planet, then an antimatter bomb blew up on him.

Yes. "Fighting",aka talking to, some no name creature that ends up in them hugging it out.

Namor surviving BB's scream impressed me more than anything Failbrand has done and it's been like almost 2 years.
