The former would've definitely made the arc itself(especially the battle sequences) more appealing overall, imho.

I don't get it. There are loads, LOADS of scans posted on here where the art is questionable, if not outright dog crap. Case point, the 'fart art'. Rubbish.
Look at the art from 'Enemy of the State'. (I'm sorry it's only a small one, but had to Google) Are all the people who are hating on JRJ telling me that this is so much worse than the usual stuff out there? What about that 'She-Thor artwork a few pages back? It's awful!
