Exactly. There are, what, 3,600 Lanterns?

Obviously, not ALL of them were on Oa (Hal Jordan being one).

Millions of parademons. Let's make it a nice round number, and say there were 3.6 million.

That's 1000 parademons for every Lantern.

Not to mention, all it takes is one, ONE parademon to fuse their Motherbox to the Central Battery, and all those Lanterns will suddenly be cut off (think of the end of the Avengers, or Independence Day, or Phantom Menace).

All the Lanterns draw their power from one giant honking target. Take it out, and they fall.

7200 Lanterns, actually. 3600 sectors, each with 2 Lanterns (except for Earth which has 4 or 5.) Still, comparing 24 to millions is kind of crazy.

Then we can up the parademons to 7.2million 🙂

True, true

Honestly, I would think millions is a low number for parademons, who strike my as cosmic locusts.

Yes, millionS of Parademons overwhelmed a few thousand Lanterns, and you somehow equate that to a low feat. Jesus. srsly

Anyway, I hate that the Darkseid War doesn't link up with current GL continuity. I'd love to see current Hal(/w/ Krona's Power Gauntlet) encounter the same problem.

That do suck.

So, how far into the future does it take place then?

It's the past not future.

So Darkseid wars take place in the past to each individual's main arcs?

Yup. So it's prior to Renegade Hal, Robo-Bats and depowered Superman.

That's stupid.

JL as the main book should have been ahead of of all of the individual books in my opinion.

Well, no. You have to remember the members of the League don't only interact/affect their own titles.

The effects of Endgame for example, are being felt in all the Bat-books. So you'd have to put Grayson, Batgirl, B & R: Eternal, Detective, Robin: SoB and Red Hood & Aresenal all on hold while the Darkseid War plays out. That'd be a bad idea. Same with the Super books. You'd end up derailing multiple titles for an arc that could easily be worked into a single series.

True, I see where you're coming from, still don't like it, but I understand.

God damn , that's a lot of Bats book!

Really it is and I might have forgotten 1 or 2 lol

I know Bat books sells, but it seems DC's too scared to put something else out.

For instance, there's the whole Wildstorm Universe their not tapping in, that's a shame.

The New Gods is another. I mean come on DC try something new, you might yield strong results.

DC You has had a bunch of new ideas/books that are not Bat books. That's the whole freaken point of the relaunch.

And Midnighter (Wildstorm) has been a phenomenal book. A bunch of Wildstorm characters have been featured in Grayson. Another great book.

I don't know man, the entire Green Lantern Corp, including the Guardians, imho should wipe out the parademons even if there are thousands to millions of the bastards.

Imo, that's a pretty shitty showing for them to get beatdown like that, especially on their home turf, but I'm not exactly surprised tbh. Lanterns due to their great number have been used as fodder before and the Guardians are as far as I'm concerned useless in almost any crisis.

👆

With Guardians too?

That is bad....
Then again... Comics. Nyuk nyuk nyuk...

Yet Bat books outnumber every other books.

Lets look at Demon Knights, one of the best story and art by a mile when the new 52 was launch, what happened? Cancel.

I Vampire, sick story what happened? Canceled.

There's really not that many Wildstorm characters out there. The biggest one is Grifter and Midnighter. I don't want the Wildstorm characters as side characters in Grayson to make him look good. I want solid Wildstorm character having there own titles.

One of my favorite Wildstorm team were the Wildcats, with Spartan being my favorite from that line up. Why not give them a title? There potential are been wasted just because the exec at DC are too stupid.

Instead were giving Batman book after Batman books. There at least 10 right now with the Bat's in it.

That's because a lot of bat books sell. I vampire didn't sell very well and neither did demon knights. It's a business. If something doesn't sell, it gets cancelled
It's been that way for a while. Meanwhile there are plenty of non bat books you can enjoy.

For the time beings i kinda gave up on DC. Looking through the own age thread, if a story tickles my fancy, i usually wait for when it's collected into one book.

Am more into small companies now and manga.

Right now am ready the Buffy/Angel comics and the Darkness from Darkhorse.

Well, you should give DC You a chance. DC has been VERY diverse lately. You're only looking at the negatives. Besides the whole Batman line of books has been pretty damn good.
