Evidently this is the 'new' Satan that Simmons is out to kill:

Looks like a huge Spawn.

Remains to be see if it's the same Satan. Wouldn't be surprised it is, they can shapeshift.

I hope it's not. Or if it is, I hope the characterization is completely different. The God/Satan we saw before acted like petulant children... It was facepalm-inducing.

Malebolgia was the best.

I liked Mammon a lot more, personally.

Galan do you know if the new DC Lucifer series is a continuation or prequel to the vertigo Lucifer series?

According to the preview of issue #1, his face is still scarred in this new series:

So it looks to be a continuation of Carey's run, unfortunately.

I would like to see more of Zera

It's a continuation and Lucifer is not as powerful as he once was.

^ Lucifer has almost no power at all, actually.

The writer said there will be epic hell battles, so hopefully he gets it back.

I don't care about epic battles, tbh. I just want a well-written series.

Carey's run represents one of the best comic series' ever made. Ever. They should have just left it alone, imo. As it stands, Holly Black has some VERY big shoes to fill. I'm going into this skeptical.

Supposedly Mike Cary and Neil Gaiman approved of her series, but time will tell if it's actually any good.

I hope it is good. I really do. I just need to get into the mindset that it's not going to be as good before I read it.

Any theories on who killed God?

BTW, thanks.

Gabriel is apparently Lucifer's accuser in this series. Tack on the fact that Gabriel has a deep preexisting animosity toward Lucifer, and I'm going to say that Gabriel killed God(or at least masterminded the killing) as a means of framing Lucifer.

If it happens, take note that I called it here first. 🙂

But how the hell do you kill, God!? Crazy. I hope this series is crazy good.

Nu Vertigo has been pretty good so far. Clean Room, Art Ops, etc... has been fun.

Same as with everything else in comics. You punch him enough times.
