Most of the time I felt Surfer was pretty bland, but I'm really enjoying Slott's Doctor who themed version of surfer. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but i also like the art and I know lots of people said it turned them off of the book

It actually wasn't contrary to believe. I didn't start reading them until my teens almost 10 years after I started collecting. When wolverine8888/battlehammer made that original thread wolverine vs alpha flight that was literally shortly after I started to read them
Current comics are shit right now and rarely buy any new stuff.
