Assuming the supernova-proof cell could withstand a power-level equal to 5971315971650150 Conner managed to produce an attack equivalent to 5971315971650151 which was JUST enough to bust the cell and only kill a couple of humans, instead of producing an attack equivalent to, say, 5971325971650150 (= only 0.0001% increase in power) which would've destroyed all life on Earth.
