Arthur only 'walked away' after his squadron of Atlantean reinforcements arrived. Before that, he was clearly enraged and wanting to fight. Conversely, Superman was NEVER looking for a fight.

Supes essentially let Arthur take his anger out on him.

Stop derailing the thread please.
So it only classifies as 'derailing' when you're proven wrong?

😂 Okay.

By uppercutting him, slamming him into a tree and punching him in the face? Nice "letting". Good fight for both Super and Author.

Again, context. Even when Supes acted against Arthur, it was only so he could try and talk sense into him.

Clark made his peaceful intentions clear from the beginning:

...And that demeanor continued until the end. He didn't want to fight. Simple.

You can keep pretending like they were both going all out -- but those of us who actually read the comic(and aren't ignoring context) know that was definitely NOT the case with Supes. 🙂

Superman didn't want to fight, and Arthur acted like a complete git, and at best was trying to blow off some steam... How is that not obvious.

Lol...no one said they started off wanting to kill each other but it was a fight. You don't uppercut someone you're letting beat you up. You don't try punching this person in the face or slam them into trees or cave them into the ground if you're allowing them to take their anger out on you. So you want me to show you how someone let a friend wail on them?

What Superman and Author was doing was brawling. If Aquaman was serious about the fight, he would've let his people mow Superman down when they showed up.

Hell thats context you can get from the scans alone.

Superman didn't want to attack in the beginning but when it started both fought back. Author didn't want to fight either.

facepalm

It's obvious that you're just going out of your way to try and lowball Superman... Context be damned.

No reason to clog up this thread with more of your nonsense. I, and everyone else who actually read the comic, knows what Superman's mindset was during that 'fight'. Maybe you'll be able to understand it someday, too. 🙂

Talking of the TWD comic. I really hope we see the group Stephanie is from soon.

It's obvious that Aquaman could not hurt Superman but only throw him around (and this was a Superman who was only trying to talk). It's pretty much the same as whenever Spider-Man is throwing Hulk around (except that Hulk is usually fighting back).

(In the last two scans below, Hulk was also heavily AMPED.)

I hope you don't upper cut your friends while trying to reason with them.

That's one of the things that makes this series so awesome. It is totally unpredictable.

I mean, I'm sure the Ohio group will play a significant role in the near future(Kirkman obviously introduced them for a reason)... But I have no clue what that role will be.

Yeah Kirkman is a good writer. I wasn't expecting Negan to have Beta on the ropes so early (but I think it'll continue with them fighting or Negan being distracted).

Wouldn't surprise me to have the group be a stocked rogue army battalion and just as it looks like the Whisperers are gonna win they gun down all of them.

Or they end up wanting Rick and co's blood as well.

Could very well be that they save Rick's ass. After all, Lydia made it clear in this issue that if all the Whisperers attack at once, they will utterly decimate the other communities:

Injustice:

*Looks like next issue(#40) will be the conclusion/finale.

None of this explained why Diana turned into such a *****. Its a shame, it was so good and then the series quality dropped horribly.

Tom King teases Bane sitting on a mound of skulls. This is going to be gooood!

😄 As long as Bane doesn't job out hard like before and no tubes.
