Character Ownage

Yea i just picked up jla 9 but haven't read the previous one. Looks like ancient krypton is coming to Nu Earth. Should i order the back issues or just roll with it? I hate wasting money

It's Hitch on art, so be prepared for lots of pretty splash pages.

Is it worth it? It will divert your attention for 10 mins or so. Beyond that, it seems to be shaping up as the usual' JLA punch the big bad based on Batman's plan' type storyline.

Shits about to go down!

“THE PROFESSIONAL” part eight! It’s the Man of Steel vs. the world’s deadliest assassin in the no-holds-barred finale to the “The Professional”!

Incredibly lame.

LOL! Deathstroke is a good book. Don't hate.

Mmm, talk dirty to me.

Why do the writers feels the need to write crap like this? We know for a fact that in the end, the only one that comes out looking good is Slade, where as Kal comes out looking like a child that has no idea on how to use his many powers.

The Comics needs to stop writing these idiotic stories and releasing them as if there master piece.

You can not have a guy that can with a few punches can destroy the Earth go against a guy that can barely survived a small explosion.

I know the whole troupe of the small guy overcoming great odds is appealing to a lot of people, but it does get tiresome when it's repeated in every damn book.

what can I say? DC enjoys rustling abhi's jimmies.

On a more serious note, all of the PIS that's involved with these sort of fights is the whole reason behind why DC and marvel are at the bottom of the barrel for me.

Priest is actually writing one of the best slade runs ever. Don't knock it until you try it.

The issue hasn't even come out yet. We saw what happened last time slade ran into superman.

I actually stopped reading DC/Marvel all together actually. Since Convergence happened, i started moving away little by little, then when they just ouright killed New 52 Superman, i gave DC the middle finger and moved on. The only reason i know what happens every week now is thanks to Galan and One Angry Scott.

The only comics i pay money for are the Angel/Buffy for Dark Horse.

Dcnu superman sucked, anyway. Pre-flashpoint is better.

Yeah, I too thought bringing back pre FP Superman was one of the few, shining olive branches Marvel or DC have given the fans in years.

👆 DC and marvel have been scrambling to get their shit together for a while now. With DC writing crappy stories and marvel pandering hard to the SJW's, I had to switch over to Image (where they treat their characters with respect), IDW (where the art, characterization, and storytelling go together like some sort of combo of peanut butter, jelly, and a glass of milk), and Dark Horse (where all the stories and characters are awesome).

What no love for the Nu-Valiant Comic?

Everything they write so far is diamond status. I've never come across a comic company push out such good work consistently.
