He actually didn't fight black bolt. Nor did he die THERE.

he is dead, but died in a lackluster way which was the twist. He died early in the event in a lab when he got exposed to the mist. White queen didn't want him to go out that way so mentally projected a fake cyclops the entire event. Only havok and white queen truely know how he really died
