This is..real?

Marvel really is run by 8 year olds. That is full fan-fiction.

Indeed it is, phil... Indeed it is.

That kind of shit is why I don't even try to read the majority of Marvel anymore. I only read the few Star Wars titles floating around(because they really are pretty great), and Ultimates...just cuz. Everything else is meh.

Conversely, DC is stepping it up quite a bit. I had almost entirely dropped them as well due to shittiness, but quite a few titles are really coming back strong. 👆

Kid Avengers, sex changed heroes, rectons of past history, random sexual orientation changes, it's truly a time to be alive.

In fairness, that summary fails to mention the end of Secret Wars which has waaay more bearing on heroic Doom than what happened to Tony.

I’ll admit, I really enjoy Thor just do to the shear creativity of the title. As stupid as the Jane is “Thor” shit is, the rest of the comic more than makes up for it.

The book that stars Jane is different than the one Odinson is in?

Jane is Mighty Thor; Odinson is Unworthy Thor. I thought you were a Marvel stan.

I don't keep up with the Thor's...well, haven't been keeping up with them. I need too though. From what One Shot posts, it is the best book out right now. Both of them are.

Mighty Thor is decent to well written. Unworthy Thor was excellent until this last book. The ending was shit/anticlimatic

If you don't read Thor what do you read?

Different strokes, I guess. I really can't stand Marvel outside of their Star Wars titles. /shrug

DC's definitely gotten MUCH better over the past few months... I actually enjoy quite a few monthly titles now. 👆

I still read a lot more Indie than anything, though.

marvel has a few good titles (moon knight, punisher, etc) but as a whole the are indeed the bottom of the barrel right now.

Honestly, each company excels at something. If you're looking for a more classic formula classic formula with far more grounded heroes, go with Dynamite. If you're looking for your favorite superheroes with some major changes made to their back stories and some flexible morale codes, go with Image. If you're looking for a smaller and more self contained universe with some fairly original characters, go with valiant. If you're looking to read about some of your favorite movie/action figure characters, go with IDW. If you're looking for some truly stellar writing and art about a variety of topics, go with Darkhorse.

Their writers need to visit forums tbh. They can retrieve a lot of information from everyday readers to make their books better.
