Well just seeing that they both manipulate a certain form of energy I thought they would be made out of it. But then it wouldn't be the case because Black Lightning isn't made out of energy but he controls a form of it.

I really dislike when writers have Supes talk like that. And man did they take Tangent Supes in a run-of-the-mill direction. I was expecting an Identity crisis type story with Tangent forcing the heroes to reexamine their role in human society, then they made him a criminal.

Tangent always used legitimacy to gain power, instead they made him recruit villains.
