Yes. I'm serious.

...

I read those stories, besides an obvious shitty design flaw the stories themself were not diversity raped, at least not on the level that it ruined them.

Same here.

But...

... why MCU is perfectly ok then?

Wtf?

Because movies pay the bills and comics can be retconned

You know you ****ed up as a comicbook industry when even hollywood realises how shitty those decisions were and refuses to use them.

Sure. But still.

Hard and harsh truth. Thank you, Sin.

If we had any more of you, we would have some serious sexy overdose.

This would've sounded crazy even like 10 years ago.

But now? Perfectly accurate.

TBH, I feel like a lot of the time, Marvel doesn't really care about their comics anymore. At least, certainly not with some of them. The movies make so much money that they aren't really reliant on them to keep them in the game anymore, and sure, while there are good titles, the desire to beat the top guys just isn't there anymore.

Yes.

Agreed.

And all that happened when Disney consumed them.

Kind of sad. So they're using the best stories [for their movies], but producing the worst [for comics]. Pathetic.

I'm not even touching the whole "Let's eradicate X-Men from our universe" subject here.

Thanks, Pr, for starting it. This shit f*cking needs to be discussed, we're no disneybots.

Arion just owned Dr. Fate. Huge powerup.

Nice little nod to the size changing aspect of the New Gods.

I can see Mickey Mouse kicking Thanos in the balls with a "You *POW* don't *POW* talk to me *POW* like that ! *POW*"

😆 💃

Sure, but when the comics become a testing ground for ideas they stop being enjoyable.

Wow, Doctor Polaris is pretty uber.

Its a numbers game. The best selling comic series of all time is superman with roughly 600 mill sold since inception. So from 1935 or whatever year to now so roughly 70 years. Then u have the best selling single issue X-Men #1 which stopped at 7 million. The worst selling marvelcu movie Norton Hulk sold a quarter billion. U could probably add together every single comic books profit for a year and still not match one movie

I hava a friend/associate who does cover art professionally. He basically says that the comics nowadays are nothing more than a way to filter ideas. Merch, movies and tv is the real deal

Beautiful. DC is killing Marvel in pure concept imo.

There are people out there who still don't get that comics will always be a niche, though. No comic is ever going to compete with stuff like that because it's never going to reach that kind of an audience. It's part of why their sales have been hurt so badly. Piss off your core audience, and you get ****ed.

Shame the writing isn't keeping up.

Writing is one of the reasons I said that. What DC books are you not liking?

I was literally talking about the scans you just quoted.

Nice concept, not-so great execution. Same with a few other books though, to be honest.

Carver should start writing comic books for DC.

There really isn't anything wrong with it. I've seen a lot worse.

Okay, the Aquaman stuff is bad enough, but why'd you have to go and say that?

Aids is worse than a broken leg, but still, try walking on a broken leg.
