lol I was more talking about how, from what I remember, Cyclops ended up being completely ineffectual with it.

Colossus thinks a lot of things can hurt him, but whether they can or not is a different matter.

It's a giant headache, really. You know that Madripoor tournament (the one with Mr X) apparently happened just a year before Mr X's re-appearance in the Thunderbolts series? One comic released in 2001, the other in 2009.

So, comics released for 8 years = 1 year passes in the Marvel Universe... omg.

Now add dozens of retcons to that and we'll need migraine meds soon.

lol, I'm only trying to establish a baseline for the main characters anyway. Not even in how old they are either, as much as the age gaps between them.

You mean like the lessons he was stated to have taken before? Honestly though, wanking Daken or not, X-Men is one of worst when it comes to writers coming in and not knowing the basics of the characters to the point of absurdity. It doesn't help that their powers have been vaguely defined ever since Claremont left (due to people not reading the damn material).

Oh, I don't expect him to be immune to it. I would just like to think that, unless it was a mortal blow, he'd take the blade back out and make his attacker eat it.

Yeah, I know. Bobby was the youngest of the O5, you got that right... one consistent thing about their ages...

Wolverine should've trained him, but he was too busy chasing Romulus for close to 50 issues... because Bendis thought it was a "cool" idea to make Wolverine remember his whole life in HoM and Marvel later hired Way to tell us this story. Such a wasted opportunity. So much could've been done, instead we got a big, convoluted mess.

Who remembers Romulus now? Oh, right. Nobody cares.

I honestly would like to think that any smart writer would have had Wolverine and Cyclops share combat training. Cyclops does the basics for fighting in general, while Wolverine teaches the people with an aptitude for it (like Cyclops, Storm etc). It would have made your suggestion make more sense too, as why give Cyclops a weapon he isn't trained to use? Classic Bendis though, you're right.

If the blade could get all the way through with someone strong enough swinging it, sure.

Strength doesn't matter here, the "blade" was a magical, plasmic form imitating metal. Made from Wolverine's rage, separating molecular bonds rather than cutting through stuff and so on.

They should've done it, but the corpse was stolen and its ultimate fate is a mystery to me...

Still, wouldn't do shit since Logan was HFless at the time of his death.

Comic book characters don't even try to think, they burned Kurt's body to ashes, for example. Everybody comes back eventually, so one would think they should've learned to keep bodies in the fridge or something 😂
