I don't see why Supes needed to use martial arts, his powers should be greater and he should be more used to using them.

Yeah he is and even stated this on panel overall Superman is better than the average Kryptonian.

I thought of that, but it's only supposed to last 30 min and he said he was back to full strength after he spent an hour in the sun.

They probably just wanted an excuse to mention Batman and show Clark knows martial arts.
