Character Ownage

Now that Galan and Scot are in purgatory, we might as well talk stuff here. Otherwise this thread gets thrown to the 2nd page.

I object to Darksaint's power bottom modding.

New God tech>>>>Anything else out there. It's Multiversal.

Uh oh the fanboys aren’t going to like that

1 attachment allowed per post.

So, 20 scans, 20 posts...

Stilt IS serious ... I used to post nearly exactly like he described:

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=477038&pagenumber=12

It was actually that "Usual Suspects" thread I get so much flak for that changed my posting habits. KMC started requiring registration even to view images uploaded via KMCs own image host provider (IHP). So I couldn't share anything I wanted except with the relatively small number of members on this forum unless I used an outside IHP like TinyPic or TurboImageHost.

I must admit, it DOES save an almost unimaginable amount of time when I want to contribute submissions like the following:

Source: Excalibur #3
Circa: 1988

That art is horrendous.

I wonder when the line was crossed that Marvel decided Thor can't do well with just his fists anymore.

Thor used to throw down unarmed. The last impressive hand to hand I saw him do Was lay out the Minotaur 4 years ago or so.

There's worse art out there, to be sure.

I had actually watched the 9:54 section of the following clip and Jim Lee's intimation that Rob Liefeld could not draw feet correctly:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c9a1XSyjjNg

Lee was joking, of course; as you'll be able to see for as long as YouTube allows that clip to remain, he and Liefeld are friends who helped found Image comics together, but, after I thought Lee was JUST joking, I stumbled across the following:

I mean, granted it's not an easy job and comic artists are under deadline, but, unless we're meant to understand Jubilee doesn't know how to put her shoes on the right way ...

He is fighting some of the strongest beings in Marvel. Skaar had to use old power plus strength to bfr Juggernaut because before that, Jugs was walking through everything he threw at him. If Thor had a bad showing against Colossus, Thing or any other mid range brick, then I would be worried but losing to Jugs and Hulk in a fist fight isnt terrible... especially when you have Mjlonir cracking on Jugs skull. That's a skyfather plus level ft.

That wasn't Mjolnir though, that was one of his bootleg hammers.

This is no less than how Thor should be able to treat juggernaut. There's a clear difference in the way he's being treated, and it's bothersome is all.

And I agree, losing isn't the issue so much as the utter incompetence displayed is.

Juggernaut is written terrible now. Having trouble with current Thor's fists is a new low for him. I thought the cement truck was bad but Marvel keeps throwing me curveballs.

Gotcha.

There was some major context to that showing with Jugs versus Thor. During that era, Jugs invulnerability was based on his shield. They did a complete remap of the character to the point that his invulnerability IS his hide.

Thor is a weakling without his weapons.

This is untrue just an fyi Carver my good man.

I think we have to accept that Thor (Jane and Odinson) are the punching bag

I don’t mind seeing the low balling but damnnnmn why does it have to be one hit

He's been unworthy and without his own comic for the last few years. The comic you just referenced was the last time there was some semblance of norm in the Thor mythos before Jane.

Thor vs. Minatour and Ulik:

"Flaming Thor". Now all we have is a "flaming" Asgard....

I wonder if Jason Aaron now genuinely dislikes Thor after the Jane backlash. He strikes me as the type of individual to be that petty based on his twitter rants.

So his invulnerability wasnt dependent on his forcefield back then?

As opposed to currently? He's never been TOTAL invulnerable without his force field. As far as I can tell, there have been actually many instances that he has been hurt without it.

With it, he can kill the momentum of his attacks, drain energy, remain untouched and under DeFalco, it was impenetrable.
