The fact that people keep thinking "Tearing the fabric of the multiverse" is supposed to be impressive sickens me lmao.
It's not even multiversal at all, It's the resonating effect of what they are doing. Their very actions are amping up the effects they are doing. It's a common thing in both Marvel and DC. For example, when 2 WEAK Avatars of Thor did 1 hammer clash w/ each other, it was felt in ALL Planes of Existence/Reality. This instance w/ Wally and Barry is no different. Such resonance effects can act as if the power is 2 or more levels higher than max base limit.
The SF serves as a type of "buffer" that basically overlaps most, if not all, of the Mainstream DC Multiverse. Thus, if you have 2 resonating SF frequencies trying to overlap each other, the "clash" of such frequencies would amp the effects of the use of the SF several levels higher than base. The SF itself is for all intents and/or purposes a Demiplane (DC, IDW, and Marvel have such things). Demiplanes act as both buffers and dimensions in and of themselves. Thus, it can be said that whatever can greatly affect a Demiplane can actually greatly effect the various dimensions/universes that are adjacent and/or are overlapped by said Demiplane.
The Speed Force is a fundamental force in DC Universe. Disruptions in it seem to affect creation. But we knew the SF was incredibly powerful. That doesn't have relevance as a power showing though. A Flash has no way to weaponize the Speed Force outside of what we have already seen in the forms of kinetic energy manipulation.

It was NOT a solo feat. They are BOTH generating that energy. Resonance feats actually can generate a lot of energy.
