It seems this Thor stuff is being taken slightly out of context. He very much appears to be wooing Jennifer. Trying to apease her.
He's not going to say "I want to know the woman who I could knock out in one punch or whose neck I could break" etc. Pretty usual way if trying to seduce a person is by making them feel happy about themselves through compliments etc. Generally I don't think you would seduce someone by saying "I am stronger than you, I could rip you to shreds but I do love you".
It wouldn't surprise me for Jason to maybe be being very literal but there's also a very strong case that he is just trying to win her over rather than making a battleboard type remark slipped into a conversation. Or even a mix of the 2 where (even though I think it's silly) Thor thinks she is stronger but he is trying to get on her good side.

Still don't understand his facination/infatuation with bulked out She-Hulk instead of the sexier version(Jen Walters). Maybe because he can bonk her as much as he can w/o ruining her internals?
