No.

Post-Gauntlet, Rhino was an absolute beast.

It's just that Daredevil is so much better than Peter Parker, who couldn't even budge that version of Rhino.

I was just reading the sin eater spiderman arc and daredevil beats an enraged Peter unconscious with 12 hits so **** it I agree with this.
He was also wearing the black suit but it might have been the cloth one.

Even if it had been the symbiote, it didn't enhance Peter the first time it bonded with him, at least not in obvious ways --- aside from giving him unlimited webbing.

The idea of symbiotes massively amping their hosts was explored later.

Though some modern writers disagree on that and try to retcon it, sort of.

The symbiote did not amp Spider-Man's strength because he was the first one he bonded with and therefore copy pasted his powers (for the most part) an stats.

Pretty much.

That and it was intelligent and kept low-profile for a reason, not wanting its host to suspect too much.

Some modern comics re-explored that period and had the symbiote amping Parker and defending him when he was unconscious/zoned out... but originally, it was written just as a fancy alien suit capable of self-repair, producing webbing, etc.

It was proven later on that it does amp his strength. Probably classic Spidey didjt receive an amp but current Spidey and the Symbiote does. 🙂

Current is a different story... as the symbiote has already transferred Peter's powerset into its own and evolved beyond that.

Yeah the Venom symbiote came a long way, same for Carnage.

The fight against the Red Goblin is a testament for the amp.

The fight when Spidey got possessed by the Symbiote and took on the Avengers.

Still Spidey.

But with Doc Ock's mindset of not holding back.
