And even though that series was full of inconsistencies, can't blame them for that *much*, as it was alluded to be able to do so in the past at least once (Killing Made Simple one-shot).

Of course, it's still dumb, as Daken's adamantium sheathes perfectly protected his soft tissue while he had muramasa claws housed in his forearms.
