I like how he seemed to bust into a time stream like nothing, and how his fight seemed to transcend just normal reality when he was fighting Nate Grey. Also how his attack is different then just a normal attack.

I think this is one of the few times you actually kind of get to see Ares as just more than a strong humanoid.

Thanos had the power gem. Runner had the space gem in the face.

Thanos used the pg to age poor Runner for some millions of years, then took the gem, and transform Runner into a baby.

So, some could think that getting owned was maybe his plan to actually get close of Runner.
