technically by actual long time consistent history and absolutely no explanation about the retcon superboy isnt even related to superman or Lex.
superboys actual on panel origin depiction and history multiple genetic scans and even scans of his creation and explanation of the scientist even tell you exactly what superboys DNA really is. and it isnt actual Kryptonian DNA not even half it is human DNA manipulated and altered to resemble Kryptonian superman DNA by an unknown donor who later turned out to be the cadmus director westfield...
which he then died and it was again made to look as or is he the donor BS plot climax.
but then it didnt even matter since once connor got the clone disease his DNA was again altered by combining and using guardians Stable DNA... now that means his DNA is half guardian with psuedo Faux kryptonian DNA of superman made out of altered human DNA... also iirc correctly kryptonian DNA is triple Helix..
now some would say so what the other half could still be lex... well here is the problem during the sins of youth storyline magic and science crap screwed with connors natural age progression and became stuck as a kid which later was some how fixed he lost all his powers.. but again his DNA was again altered in order to help him fix whatever genetic instability he was suffering from to do this they needed human DNA and the donor was roxy Leech..
her DNA was used as the base foundation for superboy's altered DNA to latch on to and recombine with her DNA being the primary base.
after that they changed their current relationship b/c they were now genetically brother and sister at least that is how they considered it..
the whole LEx was the donnor and his DNA is half him and supes is utter BS especially when cadmus explained the procedure to superman and superboy..
the nail to this massive f#$@ up was that lex himself did not become aware of the superboy experiment till after superboy escaped cadmus and he wasnt pleased b/c he was told that cloning superman was impossible and lex didnt possess the tech or knowledge to make it happen.. he freaked out and took it out on his scientist and he then locked himself in his office and narrated how it could be done how he didnt know and admitted he had no part in it.. he then brought in a cadmus scientist to tell him everything about the superboy project.

see the problem with DCU is that everything is retcon but dont give specific time or storyline. all they do is just one day give a different origin with no acknowledgment to how it was changed and under what circumstance.
hypertime.. zero hour, infinity crisis none of those addressed or altered his origin or touched on it...
all that did happen is some writer wrote it in the new teen titan story and not even explain the retcon or tie it in to something that would cause the retcon..
might as well start accepting mention of caps shield as being adamantium rather then just calling it what it is and that is sloppy history character knowledge and poor story telling..
so superboys DNA went from being a double helix to magically being triple helix hi bred?
seriously all i want is someone to give me a specific time and comic issue of the retcon. i dont want the 1st time they mention the new origin with no explanantion but actually show what altered the origin..
example:
sabe lost his adamantium after the house of M and many mutants lost their powers...
we find out about the retcon effect from sabretooth hand being cut off.. now it is still arguable if it was a writers mistake or if it can actually be explained by HoM... same with many mutants that make appearances once in a while with no powers..
i'm waiting on the retcon explanation...
its like reading nothing but else worlds or for others like marvel titles having sporadic what if? stories being published and thrown into your current storyline of 15 issues.. just one pops up issue #7 and going what the F#$@ is this even in the right order or title? and you shrug it off and keep on reading
