I just don't like to be distracted by thoughts like "those uniforms would look quite stupid in real life, and Cyclops's visor, let's not go there", but yeah, to each its own.

Pros:
(1) There's a beautiful cinematic quality and its perfect for capturing dramatic poses and expressions.

(2) See Con number two below, on the ocassion that there is a dynamic fight scene its breathtaking (see the Superman-Captain Marvel fight from KC)

Cons:

(1) Everything looks like a painting, that is to say things tend to look static. Its hard to create a dynamic fight scene with the style, at least IMO.

(2) Women tend to be less hot. See Wonder Woman from Kingdom Come to see what I mean.

(3) Some costumes look ridiculous(er). Imagine how ridiculous Darkseid or Thanos would look in that style in their classic outfits.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of photorealism in comics either, I much prefer a cartoonish style such as Giuseppe Camuncoli's.
