Character Ownage

That's Bendis for you. He sucks at writing fights. He always Jew's us out on them.

Expect entire pages devoted to question and exclamation marks, but only 1 or 2 devoted to fights. Even when he does write fight scenes, they aren't....good. At least, his gotten worse at them.

A story that would take a good writer somewhere from 2 to 3 issues will be turned into an entire arc under Bendis. The last two issues could have easily been compressed into one.

At least it isn't Danial Way. I could tell the entire Wolverine: Origins run in 12 issues... if that.

I love how Wolverine never seems able to do well against Wonderman.

Lol. I just noticed that.

True enough. I really liked the original Wolverine: Origins mini.

so wtf? Simon took them all down?
Including Thor and Noh Var?

also I liked how Wolvie's claws did nothing to Simon

Simon's on the juice, imo. Either that or Bendis is doing his whole "Thor gets humbled, Thor gets angry and sets him straight next issue" thing.

he does seem more powerful than usual though...

art is hideous tho

Well, all Simon did was knock Thor over. It doesn't really mean much...

I need to get to bed. Later guys.

I just wanted to say that Wolverine: Weapon X has the best Wolverine related stories I've read in years. Just read #14. Awesome shit.

I noticed that Wolverine is far from an indestructible monster in this series and that seems to suit the story.

Nah.

More powerful then he's recently been portrayed, yes, but he's still not up to ye olde levels.

Fair enough.

Though it wouldn't take much for his portrayal to improve..

marvel better start working on him...I always liked Simon

I've been reading his old ongoing, where he actually gained some good character depth and the full scope of his powers were explored. He was shaping up to be Mavels second most powerful Avenger until he kicked the bucket in Force works.

oh that goes a long way back...I remmeber Simon doing some great stuff there like shapesifting, energy projection etc...

It's sad to invest in a character and all of a sudden dump him like this for a decade or so

Ay, growing giant, absorbing energy, hell he was shrugging of hits from the Hulk like they were nothing, then BAM, wiped out for a series that didn't even last as long as his.

Busiek treated him OK, but wrote him as a basic brick. It sucks that it stuck.

👆

we need some extreme make over for Simon
