it's as much the internet as it is a drop in quality.

than the modern kid writers that take jabs at the character with things that are out of the character norm even if it is tongue cheek..

there is a reason comic sales have dropped from the late to early 2000

the ppl running it just suck.

well, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the idea that Wolverine had a fling in the past that turned out to be a bad idea highly consistent with his normal love life? (Yuriko, Jean, Jubalee)

or do you mean the way he handled it. I can't say I know the character as well as you, but I have to admit, I prefer the sort of "I'm too old for this shit" persona he had in X-Force.

though, ya, again, I don't know nearly as much about the character as you would

continuity is what fans deserve as well as respect to the characters being written, we dont see that very often anymore.

the most recent issue of thunderbolts essentially retconned away the entire 3rd volume of Man-Thing

😠

Yeah it's called internet, same reason why movie and CD sales dropped.

nah.. story telling..

probably both. internet means less sales means less money to try interesting stories that establish character so they write 10 000 minis with the most popular characters from their most recent movie 2 page splashed in dumb fight scenes, which people buy like crazy. Why something like the Luna Brother's Girls or Nightly News couldn't sell as well as Thor or JLA has never made sense to me. Hell, why these fluff pieces sell better than even good hero comics, like Silver Surfer: requieum or Spider-Man: Reign... lol, ok, /rant

Wolverine was romanticly invested with jubilee? i thought they were just a father daughter type thing. Unless Jubalee is actually another character and you don't mean Jubilee

no, you are right, i meant more the father/daughter thing they had, I should have clarified

the lesser quality of the comics reinforces the logic of not sacrificing cash to read it

not that i would do that type of thing

I just don't read them anymore. I read X-Men for over two decades (even buying issues that at the time I didn't know how to take care of), and gave up because of what happened after Messiah Complex (though that event was pretty poor for me anyway).

Two decades of loyalty pissed away because it was simply that bad.

Yea, I all but gave up on comics. The two titles I picked up every time were the Flash and Thor consistently. I dropped both. What they were doing to Wally was horrible, and Fraction's Thor has been shit.

I basically quit after Final Crisis. I checked in on Blackest Night, and haven't really read anything since.

Seems like nothings change with X-men with the current stuff.

Only Marvel comic worth reading lately is Captain America. True? False?

Edit: Maybe Hawkeye too.

I think comics are just a dying medium in general to be honest. I think Marvel make more money on lunchboxes then they do from comics. Plus there's the price increase and the economic climate. LCS's order less books because people are spending less on luxuries.

Claremont's X-Men Forever.

SUPERMAN shows some stamina, combat speed, and of course good skills

That feat is BS. I can see rope a dope, but the part about the sun refueling him is stupid.

again sups shows some fighting speed, this is what fighting speed is about thor fans ... see the difference between showing some speed in fight and just sluging it out like thor does?

That's also not a great feat. Equus wasn't that powerful. Superman was trying not to kill him. Use the feat of him rebuilding a city in two panels, that's better.
