........WTF? 🤨King: Dude, even Apoc doesn't trust Ozymandias. He's the one who turned him into his stone scribe.
Simbon:....Sadly, I see that happening. apocdur I want the Apoc from Messiah War, damn it. apocalypse
Apocalypse is a very badly conceived character —_his feats and power set are one of the most poorly matched in comics; he should have either been a villain for a more powerful team or given a weaker power-set. The result of this mismatch is that he has been all over the map, and it is very hard to situate him in matches (for me at least). People either high-ball or low-ball him, but frankly, I have no idea how to rate someone who has WTF pwned stryfe and Exodus but who can also get de-atomized by Blackbolt's whisper. At this point, it would be equally believable for him to be killed by a meta or for him to take down a high herald in his next appearance. A strong sign that he has been so inconsistently written in the past that writers should either give up on him or give readers a better idea of where he is, power-wise.
Whisper? That was HoM. That shit's not canon to regular Apoc.
And yes, I agree. He's inconsistent because they won't let him use his full powerset. He's worthy of being a high end avengers villain. Almost no Xmen team is a match for him unless he jobs.
Edit: He's almost never been at full power since X-Factor 68 when Cyclops used the power of the summers bloodline to destroy his original body. He's been using surrogates and clones ever since.

afaik, they only fought in Black Night: Exodus, which is the issue where Exodus learns he has mutant powersjust sayin'
I was using it as an example; even if we ignore that particular feat, he has others which are difficult to reconcile with his low feats. My point is that his feats are all over the place, and that he is poorly thought out as a character.

Originally posted by Doctor-AlvisDing. Apoc is the ultimate social darwinist. Only the strong survive. Abit like Magneto, but crazier and with no regard for humans. Though, some have written him as only doing enough damage to force mutants to become stronger, if only to stop him. Like when he threatened to unleash a plague to kill off regular humans unless they did it themselves but only to 90% of previous levels, rather the 100% of his virus.
I don't get his shtick either. Is it just survival of the fittest?

I'm not disagreeing, just saying that getting punked by apoc like that was a low showing for exodus. a non-jobbing poc might still beat bloodties or current exodus, he gives him a serious run though
but I totally agree, they could use apoc much better
