Naah, I never disregard speed feats. The only time I disagreed with you was when we were discussing if Supes could punch 100 times a second. Looking at the scan above, I'm in belief that he could. You never showed me anything like that.

Is that canon and who is writting that story?

I'm just undecided on one thing though. In that story he said that he had to speed up his senses to match the speed flash was going at... I wonder if increasing his senses also had an impact on his reaction speed... was he able to match his reflex speed with his increase of speed with his sense.

I guess we will never know but it did show that he is capable of talking/thinking/perceive things at high speed.

Of course you do.

I did.

It's primarily JMS writing.

Yes, it's canon.

It's just another example of his perceptions. He's been capable of doing that shit for almost twenty years.

Pr, it was a casual blast.

it doesn't matter. it's the power cosmic. it's no use against galactus if he doesn't want it to be.

But... real humans have been capable of a dozen or more punches per second. Surely you believe Superman is more than 8 or 10 times faster than a fast real life person?

Just read that issue with Supes/Flash.

Pretty decent, I suppose, though I'm still underwhelmed by the whole Superman title at the moment. War of the Supermen left a bad taste in my mouth and Grounded is only doing a decent job of getting rid of it. Barry seemed...too lighthearted in the book for some reason? In his own title and in the Brightest Day/GL crossovers he's been doing, he's way more serious and methodical. But then again, I think the intent for the issue was to hearken back to a Silver-Age-ish tale. At least that was the feel I got from it.

No... they showed Parker during the end.

No, in that story Peter Parker became the Hulk. That Spider-Man was, I think, Tony Stark (Or Reed Richards, not sure). While Steve Rogers was in the Iron Man armor.

Blame JMS...

Yes, we do know, because he's done it before. Many times. He's been capable of doing that shit for almost twenty years.

😕

Pr, I have never ignored the speed feats you've posted... I have even gave you props on your post. I'm in shock that you are even saying this. Sometimes I just think you look at a feat kind of in a way its not presented when it is regarding Superman.

I kind of had the feeling he was writing the story. He does a good job with Supes... looking back at his previous stuff regarding the character.

Lol... do what for 20 yrs?

You have a point about the Galactus thingy... I wish it was brought up in the story (why Galactus blastt dropped Norrin). I don't care though, I was impressed on the way Marvel view the Hulk.

😖

all 9 issues? Half of which other writers are having to adapt for him (including the one that was posted).

had the ability to talk/think/perceive things at high speeds.

Yes, I agree, Superman is extremely fast... me and Pr discussion was based on who was faster out of Goku and Supes and I was basically asking him for something on panel showing how many times Supes can punch in a second even though I agree... he is MANY of times faster than a Human.

Why are we even discussing this when all in all... I was amazed by a feat?

I agree but they actually gave something in stone giving us an indication of how fast he was moving/perceiving things.

Which they've done before, even pre-upgrades.

How can one 'talk' at superspeed?

Sound moving faster than sound? lol.

Surely you just mean communicate? Like reading lips or sign language or some such?

He can talk and hear in space. Giving science the finger is a common thread with his powers...

Meh. That's a common trope in comics period.

I'm talking about making his voice move faster than sound. Move his lips at superspeed and communicating in that manner sure, but making his voice keep up with said speed? Nah. That's just dumb.

"Dumb" is relative. You're talking about a guy who can fly, breathe tornadoes and shoot solar rays from his eyes.

Talking really fast sort of pales in comparison.

Lol... I agree with that. That was still a nice feat though.

@pr

OMG...

I don't understand why we are even arguing about this. I enjoyed the feat, that's all I wanted to say. It was the best feat I have seen from him but I agree, there are other feats out there that he have that he hellava impressive.

Why are we arguing about this? Do you think that I think Superman is slow?

I'm just wondering how long it'll take you to disregard that feat with the others. sneer

There are little nuggets of logic that I will simply not let go of.

Sound being sound speed is one of those basics. A scale shifting towards the heavier object no matter how miniscule the difference is another.

The other stuff are macro level things are easy to suspend disbelief of simply because they are so macro and we have no idea how they are working.

But superman's voice being faster than mine? Screw that shit. He's got so many other powers to explain away his ability to communicate at superspeed that I will settle on a mix of telepathy and super fast vision to negotiate super fast lip movements as what is happening. The actual words we see in the speech bubbles are for us the reader. That's how I will view this.

And if you care about my sanity at all, you will too. uhuh

Naah, I won't forge it.

Just an FYI, Superman's heart is basically a nuclear reactor. Sunlight, or just plain starlight is just the fuel.
