Johns just doesn't like them, for some reason. I have no idea why...
Johns is such a 50/50 kind of writer for me. His JSA stuff ranks among my favorite runs of any ongoing and GL Rebirth up to SCW was awesome. Blackest Night was good, not great, and Brightest Day is really wildly varying for me on how much I like it. His Flash stuff I don't mind, but I never got into Wally as the Flash anyway, so I'm not the best judge. But I just feel like he's trying so damn hard to outdo himself on the events and stuff and he really needs to dial it back and just pen some good stories again.
I really have no expectations for Flashpoint, especially if it will likely be another timetravel/retcon DC history event.

He's just too heavily invested in his Silver Age stuff. I really liked Blackest Night, but it honestly felt like Johns just wasn't suited to write something that... Spiritual, I suppose.
Someone like Morrison would have been better i think.

I have no clue WTF Robinson is doing. Hopefully Alan wakes up and kicks ass, but it's probably going to be Jade in the spotlight. I like his attempt at a less than Big Seven JLA roster - some of my fav runs have been w/o the Big 7 - but it's pretty weak in storytelling.

Yeah, Johns really likes Silver Age stuff, which isn't bad, but he needs to chill some. If Morrison did Blackest Night, the damn thing would probably be convoluted beyond recognition.

Yeah, Robinson can do good JSA stuff, as well as decent Starman/Shade stuff, but his Superman stuff was just...ugh. Cry for Justice...lmao, that mini was horrible. Poor Lian.
