I think Wolverine killed Flex in the latest arc Wolverine's Revenge. That's what prompted me to re-look at issues. I think those kids he's killing are his kids. The Red Right Hand has tricked Wolverine into killing his children. Explains Daken involvement as well.

In the newest Wolverine issue? Haven't read it and meh! Flex hasn't been used in years nor did I really like him.
They spoiled it was Daken sending him to Hell in a interview shortly after Wolverine #1 came out. Not a big suprise.
