The same with Darkseid over all to powerful for superman, a well written darkseid should make superman his lap dog on a regularly bases.
The way i see it is that almost anyone can beat anyone in comics, that's the beauty of it, see where I'm looking at this? In given situations any superhero gets their glory on anyone else, it's happened to superman lots as well as other big heroes, that on paper would crush all the opposition, but as I said, the situations and circumstances change this which is all the more interesting although I know Superman on his best can take on everything with a lot of confidence, superman is the idol of which other superheroes look to.
