I agree people should not litter, but you also need to realise that Gypsies can only go on land allotted for them these days, so most of the time this is no longer a problem. Also they hardly ever camp in towns, so streets being littered is not a problem. You do realise several different cultural groups exist in the traveller community.
SW I'm just winding you up if we where to shoot litterers I'd be dead!

Gav you're not winding me up at all - however I am fascinated by what you know of Travellers, I actually hold many in contempt as they do not realis that they must adapt for the modern world. However certain social morals are probably not what you think and I find that amusing.
🙂
SW There are many cultures in Britain, lets use the followers of Islam as an example.
Some Muslims preach hate, does this mean all muslims should be punished?........NO
Some Protestants are very Sectarian does this mean we should punish ALL Protestants?..........NO
Some Travellers or Gyps es dump their rubbish in the fields, does this mean we should punish all Travellers?........NO

So you created this thread to state the obvious 😛
Racism and Discrimination
In Commission for Racial Equality v Dutton the Court of Appeal held that Romany Gypsies were an ethnic group within the meaning of the Race Relations Act 1976 (RRA) having regard to the evidence of their shared history, geographical origin, distinct customs and language.
More recently in O’Leary v Allied Domecq, a case brought on behalf of Irish Travellers, the County Court accepted that Irish Travellers are also a distinct ethnic group for the purposes of the RRA. There are currently no reported cases relating to Gypsies or Travellers of other ethnic origins but there seems to be no reason why Scottish or Welsh Travellers could not argue that they are members of separate ethnic groups. Whether such an argument is accepted is likely to depend upon the assessment of expert evidence.
Gypsies and Travellers who can show that they are members of a distinct ethnic group can use the RRA, supplemented by the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 (RRAA), to combat the racism. Travellers that are not members of a distinct ethnic group cannot claim the protection of the RRA and RRAA but they may be able to use Article 14 of the Convention to tackle discrimination by public bodies when their acts impinge upon other rights protected by the Convention.
If a Gypsy’s or Traveller’s race discrimination claim is to succeed then he or she must also show that he or she has been discriminated against in one or more ways that are unlawful under the RRA or the RRAA. For example, a pub or restaurant that refuses to serve ‘travellers’ would commit indirect discrimination because fewer Romany Gypsies and Irish Travellers could comply with the requirement than people of other racial groups and the requirement cannot be justified on non-racial grounds.
