Ultimate Colossus, and Colossus Respect Thread

I'm not sure what to think of the fight. Going by the art alone, Colossus was kicking all sorts of ass and was winning. But the weird inner dialog makes it seems like he is getting his ass handed to him. It does look like he would have killed Kuurth though.

I'm also not sure if that speed is coming just from Colossus or that critical mass build-up thing going on.

Feats > statements imo
He was kicking the crap out of worthY juggs and kncoked his helmet off with his first punch he was even drawing blood and nearly killed him at the end

Colossus seemd superior despeite his dialog

Colossus was shown to be inferior. When the statements talk about your injuries, they're as good as feats. Colossus did well, but he was clearly outmatched. He might have won, but only because of the critical mass thing.

He was drawing blood from cain as well ,we dont know the extent of cains injuries
If anything the were roughly equal
Heck the art shows him being superior despite his statement

Its like me beating the crap out of my brother while saying he is superior

He drew blood, yes, but Cain was breaking his bones.

The issue implied that Cain was superior in a straight fight, and even Colossus admitted that his only advantage was that he was unstoppable. He even states that Cain was stronger and faster.

Cain might of had broken bones too, and colossus didnt seemed phased by the critical mass build up were cain is screaming in pain

If anything kuurnis slightly superior but colossus unstopabioity makes them equal

cain might have had broken bones yes, but since it wasn't stated, we can't assume he did.

the critical mass build-up was directly affecting juggernaut because it was his own energy. if it had gone off, it would have surely hurt colossus.

colossus' unstoppability helped, but i don't see it making them equals.

Colossus also stated that every injury Cain was giving him didn't matter to him.

Colossus after the fight is in perfect condition

As Ptr_Grifin pointed out elsewhere though neither of them are likely full-powered Juggernauts.

"According to New Excalibur, when a Juggernaut becomes apostate, another Juggernaut is selected, but neither are at full power. They are in a weakened state so that one can prove himself and kill the other to claim the full power."

Likewise Cain's durabilty/power was reduced when he shared his power with Black Tom too.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out however. Since Kuurth still lives are they only (possibly) still at half a Juggernaut (Colossus + Jug/2 & Kuurth + Jug/2) each? Apparently Cain's killed at least one other potential usurper on his way to reclaiming the Ruby during his days with Excalibur. That would explain their casually breaking bones.

Largely I agree with Pr's interpretation though.

Aye, which must be a side-effect of being the Juggernaut. I think it's interesting in the sense that if it's true, it hints at Juggernaut being damageable, he just doesn't really care.

Though Colossus is bound to get a boost.

That doesn't mean he wasn't hurt during it.

Is there a way to convince the writers to makes this permanent?

Sure, let Fraction write X-Men again.

Exactly. Kuurth inflicted pain like Colossus had never felt before. He admitted it. And that says how powerful kuurth is cause big c has been hit by almost all the heavy hitters

It doesn't matter if kuurth was stronger. After reading the issue it sure seemed liked Colossus dominated him and enjoyed the pain. He knocked the piss out of kuurth also .

I'm sure the new Colossus is now one of the most durable characters in marvel. I hope we get some raw strength feats soon. Gotta think he's way above old Colossus now and not just unstoppable.

Yeah he probably is high herald level now. As long as he embraces the destruction he causes. That speed feat if pretty cool too. I wonder what his top speed is. He's a beast right now.

That uncanny x-men team is looking very impressive. The raw power on that team should make it pretty much unbeatable on earth. No earth team can touch em...

That Uncanny roster can take down an elite Avengers squad imo.
