Theoretically speaking, is Immortality posible?

Maybe I could have sounded a bit harsh in my last sentence, and I am sorry if I offended someone, but there is still logical thinking beyond that. I will try to explain why I think that.

There are huge implications to that, we would be changing the very basis of the natural cycle of life. Life is a great mystery of the universe, and the natural cycle a very fundamental part of the universe. Did the cycle of life exists without a purpose ? Nothing in nature is like that. Can we so easily discard it as if it was unimportant just because we will be able to fulfill a personal desire ? Can we always change natural laws in the benefit of us ? Without death there is no change, and there is no evolution... things born, reproduce, and die, so they can evolve, and there could be more we don´t know yet. Immortality is something that people have no problem to accept, but people never thought that it will change everything in which life is based on... since evolution to the very definition of living being.

Your cells are replaced roughly every 7 years totally some like red blood cells every 3 months. Each copy is less precise than the original. Think of it as copying a VHS tape over and over the quality eventually becomes grainy and less precise. Hence wrinkles.

where did you hear this...i just got through bio last year and im 99% sure that your cells undergo mitosis constantly, always changing, growing and dying. And They arent less precise. They are identical. When the cell undergoes mitosis everything on the inside is doubled and then disjunction occurs, making the one cell with extra stuff into 2 cells. This is also how fetuss' grow.

We are immortal, the body is only the vessel, when you die you leave the ship and swim to somehwere else

With a combination of nano tech, robotics and genetics; Immortality is definitely possible
