A streak of midnight black darted across the landscape as Skylar ran. Her paws slapped the cold ground hard as her limber body sped forward. The chain around her broad furry neck bounced as her gate increased. Finally wihtout warning she ran head on into a snow-drift. She knew she had lost her persuer... Sighing with relief she stepped out and shook her snowy head off.
