Natsumi looked up instantly, expecting to find Hanzo or Ayuka but it was Tom. She pinned her ears down, showing she was nervous and scared of his presence as she looked down at her feet. She tried to dry her eyes but it did no good. She nodded slowly, despite how hurt she was.
Ayuka ran her fingers through her hair, the short strands falling back into place in front of her eyes. She turned to Kel and sighed. "Well, ready to hear your punishment? I've been thinking long and hard about it."

Kel put away the trays and sat down at the table again. He looked up at Ayuka and looked serious. "I'm the only one who deserves a punishment... Tom was only trying to defend himself. I was the one who started the fight." He said, trying to get his new friend off the hook.
Ayuka rolled her eyes as she ran her fingers through her hair. "I would let you both off the hook but I'm ordered to pin you both for trouble. And your punishment, Kel, shall be.." She smirked and motioned to the gym that was beside the cafeteria. "Help me decorate for prom. Tom's isn't as 'horrifying' but it's pretty bad. Poor kid wont sleep for a week." She grinned evilly and flicked her ears, pleased with her decision.
Natsumi looked at Tom from the corner of her eye. She wiped her tears again but her cheeks seemed to be very stubborn and remained damp despite her efforts. She looked at Tom with saddened eyes before turning her orbs back to her hands, playing with a blade of grass.

Tom watched Natsumi. "Why were you sad? Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked quietly.
Ayuka smirked wickedly. "Oh yes, I need to be thrown in jail." She ruffled up his hair teasingly. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. You have to help me decorate." She slid off the table and tossed her empty cheese container into the trash bin, licking a few drops of cheese from her fingers with a sly grin.
Natsumi continued to play with the grass. She stopped as a butterfly fluttered past her nose. Natsumi reached out her hand and cupped the insect into her palms. She allowed it to crawl along her fingers and smiled a bit. The butterfly landed on her nose, fanning out its wings and then folding them. Natsumi giggled and playfully batted at the insect. She stopped as she looked at Tom and blushed in embarrassment. She recoiled her hands and pinned her ears down again as she shyly turned back to folding a blade of grass all around.

He thought, standing up and catching the butterfly again. He let it crawl on his hand for a second, then he put it on top of his head. He knelled down to Natsumi and smiled at her, letting her see the butterfly standing on his head. He saw another butterfly and caught it gently, then he set it on top of Natsumi's head playfully.
Ayuka went to the gym and sighed. "Ah, the sweet smell of sweat. Great fume to breathe in when you just ate lunch isn't it?" Her voice was dripping with sarcasm as she waved at a few of her friends running laps. "So, co-decorator, what do we need for homecoming?"
Natsumi couldn't help but curiously watch him as he caught the butterfly. She blinked in confusion as he knelt down in front of her. Natsumi curiously poked the small insect before turning her eyes back to the ground. Her ears twitched as the butterfly was placed on her head. She blinked in confusion and looked at Tom. Their eyes met as she turned her head to the side, one ear falling over a bit. Natsumi studied his facial features before smiling a bit. She looked down and took his hand in hers, giving it a shy shake. "Hi..."

Natsumi smiled, seeing that he held onto the note. She blushed a bit, feeling special that he'd do that. She looked at her hands and fiddled with a blade of grass again. She spotted a cricket not far away and without thinking, pounced at it. Her tail lashed as she playfully swiped at it. She giggled and pinned her ears down. She blushed and sat back down, her tail swishing as her eyes watched the cricket.

Tom saw the cricket that Natsumi was playing with. he smiled when she sat down again. He stood up and pounced on the cricket, careful not to squish it. He picked it up and held it out to Natsumi, smiling proudly.

Natsumi smiled as she set it back on Tom's hand. She smiled and her tail flicked in happiness as her ears perked up. She looked like a cat that had just received a lifetime supply of catnip. She looked at Tom and smiled a bit. A butterfly flew by her nose as she batted at it, trying to catch it in her hands.
Hotaru grunted as she tugged on her big black duffle bag. Her chest heaved up and down heavily. " Almost....there..." she said as she proceeded up the stairs. WHen she finally got ot her floor, she sighed with a relief, thne looked around nervously. She found her room and pushed in the key, then twisted. " hm.. only me.." Hotaru continued in and placed her bag in front of the dresser. After unpacking she sat on her bed and heaved a tired sigh, then stoodo up and, after smoothing her hair, walked downstairs and out the two front doors. She stood under the setting sun on the fresh green lawn and took in everything there was to see.
