Natsumi turned to face Tom, her eyes spilling over with tears. She didn't know what to say, even if she could speak. She looked down at her hands, her ears pinned close to her head. The white stood out from the brown strands of her hair. She couldn't help but want to whimper and curl up into a little ball. Her heart felt numb and confused. It was warm with Tom's love, but low and sorrowful with the thought of it all just being a hopeless scam. Something of unrequired importance. She was a pawn.

Ayuka giggled a bit and cranked up "Bat Country" listening to the guitar solo. She smiled and tapped her hands on the wheel. "So, what are you wearing Mr. Date?" She asked with a joking tone in her voice.
