BATMAN BEGINS...has a sequel been anoounced???

Ok, I have watched Batman Begins for the 4th time now and I realize that I havent heard from any legitimate source that a sequel is in the works. DOES ANY SMART/INFORMATIVE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT'S THE STATUS OF "BB2"...

I dont really know, i have heard some rumors about it, but i will take these peoples good words, i hope it is good, I do love the new batman and how it puts the reality one everything and how he became,good movie, love DC comics, best superhero movie i know,
does anyone know who the villian is going to be?..because the scarecrow only got tazzered, he is still alive!!.what about the joker because at the end of the movie he left his calling card..will they team up?...man i love batman

Although I hate the old Batman movies, I really hope there's a sequel because Batman Begins was awesome.

I think that it goes without saying that there will be another new Batman flick. They'd be stupid not to after the success of Batman Begins, moneywise and the fan reaction.

There will be two sequels, apparently.

Goyer knew that the movie would do well and so has sewn the seeds for the sequels anyway.

The Next addition in the Batman Begins Trilogy is estimated for release in 2008. It seems like a very long time, But The Last thing I want Chris Nolan And David Goyer to do is rush things. Usually more time spent on something means the better quality.

yeah the sequel is suppose to come out in the summer of 2008 but we dont know if it will be the joker or the penguin yet for the villian.They keep going back and forth on this on which one of them will be the villian.But one of them looks like they will definetely be the villian though.

Penguin? I bet he'll be a lot like Falconi. Hands-off, puller-of-strings kind of character.

I did hear of Two-Face rumours too.

Either way, I am faithful whatever villain is chosen, it will be done justice.

I say they're gonna keep the multiple villain thing going on. Penguin as a Falcone type of guy, Joker as a main villain, someone like Sal Maroni and instead of Rachel, Harvey.

we could talk ourselfs blue about rumored villians. fact is they're rumored, so no one is really correct.

anyone know if christian bale will be kept, becuse i'm a little sick of the many faces of batman thing. I think that will be the best way to separate this from the old ones.

devil2 Its good to know that katie holmes will not be in the second bat movie but they can't call it bat begins 2.

some rumoured titles of the movie were Batman Strikes, Batman something i heard some really really really stupid ones...

OK, 1st point. If you say Rachel will be replaced by Dent, doesnt that make Batman a bisexual? Or at least gay! It'd be about half as B&R and that's BAD! Chris Bale has signed for a trilogy. Katie Holmes may leave but if she does then I hear it will be Talia or Selina in her place. Talia would be AWESOME, she's a cool character and fit too.
I reckon BATMAN: ESCALATION would be cool but the bats parting at the start should leave a sign saying BATMAN: ACT II.
Talia would be great. Harvey would be cool. Rachel would be great tooo though (a traiangle). It could become a love square if Harvey and Rachel are dating but she still loves Bruce! I hope everyone stays and they bring in more of Gordon, like him conflicting with Flass, Branden (SWAT) and Comm. Loeb like in Yr1. Any views? They should defo have Sarah Essen too!!!!

People say they have only heard rumours about Joker and the Penguin, however that does not rule out Harvey Dent/Two Face. I hope BB2 will introduce Harvey Dent as the new DA (the other one got killed in BB), we would get to see how he and Batman became best friends, and that Batman/Bruce would trust Harvey and "Believe in Harvey Dent" (Bruce has said this in a couple of occasions). Then they would work together getting down Joker/Penguin and some other bad people, then in the end of the movie should be identical to the Dent-->Two Face transformation in Long Halloween, they are in a court-->acid thrown-->screaming-->hospital where the doctor comes out and says that Dent is gone--falls over dead-->they discover Dent is gone. Then they finish the movie and use two Face as villain in BB3.
