How about a team tournament (multiple posters, not simply multiple characters) at the different power levels? It could be 4 on 4 or 2 on 2, whatever.
Again, this is WAY too early to be talking about this. But different levels (and possibly teams of KMC members) might make an interesting set-up. A single-level tourney, regardless of the gimmicks we attach to it, would be a bit too much of a re-hash.
...something like what ScarletSpider did way back when, except have the different power levels fight seperately rather than all together.

Not bad...I like the idea.
My own musings have led to thinking along the lines of 6 picks, 2 from 3 different power levels, but have the draft so that any level can be picked first/last etc. So maybe Cap, Iron Man, and Surfer all get taken in round 1...but obviously won't be fighting each other. Adds some strategy to the drafting process.
The amalgam + normal team members is interesting too. To keep things fun in the future, I think we'll have to do a lot of weird stuff like this.

A non comic reading friend of mine asked me if i was still playing at battles on "that comic forum" i told him yes 🙂 then he asked which characters i'd picked this time...... i thought about my team and said:
"I think the only one you might have heard of would be Iron Man"
he replied:
"Is he a surfer?"
Which got me thinking..... how many characters involved in this might the comic lay-person know? I figure they'll know the Predator, maybe Colossus (because of the cartoons) the Thing (from the cartoons and the film).... and that's pretty much it!
Maybe the American lay-person would be slightly more familiar with one or two of them as it's more part of the culture.... whadaya think?
