so has anyone found any surefire way to evade a blue shell?

I've only found a few methods from gamefaqs..

Defending Against - If one if coming your way, there is little you can do but
bite the bullet. Dispose of your items just before as it'll
destroy them anyway. If you hear it coming and there are
other karts behind you, then you could try and drop back
and catch them in the blast radius as well, and if you
are really luckily, the shell could get them instead. You
can also avoid getting hit by using a Star or a Boo Ghost,
but otherwise as said most of the time you'll have to get
hit, so don't get too annoyed if this happens a fair
amount.

I doubt they made the blue shell able to be avoided. Anywho I've been playing those missions thingys on Mario Kart DS. It sure is fun fighting Big Bomb-omb again.

You can look at the left side of the screen to see if someone has a shell. If they do and they didn't fire it yet, then you can try dropping back to 2nd place if your not too much in the lead. 🙂

Yeah but sometimes doing that makes you fall futher back then just getting hit by the blue shell

I guess it depends on how close the race is

Plus you don't know when they will throw the blue shell. I remember pulling into 2 but I guess I was too late for the shell hit me and I fell into like 5 and lost badly.

I heard you can block a blue shell with a bomb but i haven't had any luck with it, i always miss.

I heard that. Tried it once. I got blasted by the blue shell and my bomb

Does anyone else miss Wario Stadium for the N64? That jump where you can screw someone over where they'll fall off that jump and basically have to restart the race.

I loved the original Wario Stadium, but I actually think I like the new one a bit better 🙂

i thoght i was seven karts per person. thats wat i've unlocked. also on teh mirror mode, but havent done it yet... pheonix wright took my attention away.

yeah I think it's only 7 too b/c I did all the difficulties on the new races, and I still need to unlock 3 characters. I guess you unlock them from the older races

Did you do the old and new cups and get a gold trophey on all of them?

No, just the new ones. But I still have to unlock Warluigi, the robot, and the Princess, so I'm assuming you get them from the old races
