I wouldn't even dream of comparing it to the others. They put in at least as much work as i did. And the results with some threads like Namor's or AF's, or Hercules' or Hulk's are awesome.

That was just his mind though. Seeing as how neither of those marvel/DC heroes exist in his world. But they do exist as comic book characters in his world.

Yeah, it was a very good issue. I'm sure underneath it all it's just one of McFarlane's Jabs at Marvel and DC (which is obvious when you read the issue), but it's also meant to show how powerful Spawn is, given the fact that McFarlane made him as a sort of mix of all the well-known characters from DC and Marvel.

hey dark I was wondering about the whole marvel/dc heros in hell thing. was that just in spawns mind or is their another explanation? another question I have is about savage dragon. first what happened to him after they took him away and second why was he in hell in the first place?

He was there because he had previously been engaged in a fight with some witch or something and she banished him there. Something along those lines.

The whole marvel/DC heroes thing was as follows: SPawn was in the fifth level of Hell, where pretty much nobody gets to go. That's where you face "yourself".
What the whole "giving him their power" thing was, was that he was beginning to realize the kind of potential power he had. He was making connections between the heroes he grew up with (comic book heroes) and the powers he is/was capable of. Like incredible strength and durability, etc. etc. etc., leading all the way to becoming the embodiment of the Universe, a sort of supreme being.
That was his way of facing this power that was locked inside of him. And when he kept trying to get them out of that "jail" he couldn't, because it would've been like trying to yank the powers out of himself.

Nah, it looks like complete crap IMO.

A fight between Spawn and Batman, in which Spawn is actually holding back (this was still at the beginning of his series. He hadn't discovered most of his powers yet, and those he knew he had he didn't want to use)

Then after being attacked by Cyborgs, Batman is killed, and Spawny has to bring him back to life 🙂
