I thought it appropriate that since it's the first day of 2006 that I start a thread, even if I couldn't think of anything to base it on.

yeah, I can see that, but since he's supposedly killed Sasuke or at least tried his hardest to do so, I feel nothing for him.

well, this is all speculation, but it's pretty clear that Haku could've killed either of them, yet he didn't...recall how Haku had temporarily frozen Zabuza? I imagine that's what happened to Sasuke

Well I believe he tried to kill those boys, so I hope that Naruto kills him, even though he probably won't.

Doubtful...if he's half as good as Zabuza claims, Haku could've killed both of them easily with some well aimed needles. Rather, he attempted to tire them out as opposed to killing them.
